This position is a junior-level position within Huawei’s HR Operations team supporting both overall operations, especially Compensation, Payroll and tax activities. This position will report to the Manager of HR Operations. The HR Specialist responsibilities will be analytical and complex in nature. The position will require high level of attention to detail, problem solving and customer service skills, the ability to follow through projects to completion by the deadline, while maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality and accuracy.
-Acts as a point of contact for all inquiries from employees, managers, vendors and business partners. Ensures compliance with department service levels agreements as established. Resolves issues if possible and escalates issues to upper management where needed.
-Operating payroll processing procedures, including data collection, review, input, audit and maintenance.
-Assist the Benefits Manager with employee benefit inquiries and support enrollment activities.
-Coordinate the individual income tax filing process for international assignees with CPA firm.
-Interface with parent company HR Department to gather and disseminate information to the HR Team.
-Will participate in projects as requested, including system roll out and upgrades.
-3-5 years of general HR and/or payroll experience. Experience in global mobility is preferred.Bachelors degree in related field.
-Experience working with databases, web-based HR systems, reporting tools and using the internet for research. Dayforce HCM experience is preferred.
-Excellent interpersonal communication skills in English and Mandarin. Must be able to work in a team environment and communicate clearly to various levels of employees and management.
-Excellent customer service and organization skills.
-Language skill of Mandarin speaking and written proficient is required for the purpose of communication with headquarters
-Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily work and projects in a challenging environment under pressure and tight deadlines.
-Moderate skill level in Microsoft office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
